Donate Life Flag Raising in Old Lyme, CT – 2018

Towns across Connecticut are flying a Donate Life flag in celebration of National Donate Life Month. On April 6, 2018, there was a ceremony at Old Lyme, CT’s Memorial Town Hall to commemorate the occasion and to raise the flag.

Dr. Richard Jones of Mentoring Corps for Community Development (MCCD) thanks those in attendance and explains why MCCD got involved in raising awareness for organ donation. MCCD is currently working with the school system to include the topic in the Health curriculum.

Laura Lee was a kidney donor in an 18-person kidney chain at Yale New Haven Hospital.
